Motorola X Pure

In this article, we have the Motorola X Pure Review for you. This phone was released in 2015. It will soon be upgraded to the newest version of Android Nougat. This phone comes with a 5.7″ screen, 3 GB of Ram, and comes in 32GB and 64GB models. It comes from Motorola unlocked to be used on any provider for under $400. That’s a steal with those specs. The phone has some pretty nice features as well. CNET reviewed the phone and said “The Motorola Motorola X Pure Edition is a great device for specific users.” by Lynn La of CNET

Best Feature

One of the best features of the Motorola X Pure is the twist to launch the camera feature. You just have to twist your wrist twice to quickly launch the camera app. Pretty nice feature and it can be done on a locked phone. Another nice feature that can be launched from a locked phone is the flashlight. With the phone upside down make a chopping action to turn on or off the flashlight. These are two features that are very useful.

Noteworthy Features

Some other noteworthy features are the notification panel and the always-on display. With the notification panel, one finger pulls one version of the panel and a two-finder pull brings down the full panel. Also if one finger is used a second one finger pull can bring down the full panel as well. Next, the always-on display had useful notifications and music player controls. Waving your hand over the phone brings it up. It will show the time and any new notifications. The notifications can be accessed by touching the unlock and swiping up toward the notification you want to open. Pretty useful for many reasons.

Picture This

This phone has a pretty amazing camera. It is a 21-megapixel camera with both front and rear-facing flash. This is a very uncommon feature and one that should be included on more phones. It takes some very beautiful photos.

It has an sd card slot that is capable of up to 200 GB. Also, something that seems to be not included in the newest phones is a 3.5mm headphone jack. I’d hate to really see this go even though my personal choice is Bluetooth, its always good to have a backup port that has low battery pull.

Conclusion

Overall this phone is a great buy with really great specs. It also is customizable if purchased from the Motorola website. Color choices, boot-up logo and personalization can be all chosen thru the Motorola portal. I give this phone a 4.5 out of 5.
